Over the years, people have
said some really impressive “stuff” about |
NANCY COATE, INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
BAYSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER
When our organization turned its
attention to grant writing, it became obvious that we did not have the time or
the staff that was required to research and conduct a successful grant writing
campaign. We were recommended to the team at Grant Writing Specialists. We
found the perfect writer who would understand all about us and outside
contacts/partners/collaborators. We submitted a successful FIRST FIVE
COMMISSION proposal under their expert guidance. Thereafter, we developed an
action plan for researching, writing and submitting grants on a monthly
basis...and it, too, was successful. We thank this team for its dedication to
their clients and the community.
NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE ASSOCIATION
Grant Writing Specialists´ dedication to serving the
community of San Diego is truly inspiring. It warms my heart to know there are
people still out there fighting the good fight. As a member of AmeriCorps, I often contemplate what good I
can accomplish in a community if I am the only one that cares, but through your
altruistic efforts, my faith in society has been renewed. Thank you Grant
Writing Specialists for all that you have done for the community and myself.
Your efforts and success inspire me to fight on.
ROGER L. JOHNSON
THE ORGANIZER II INC.
I am fairly new to this group, but whenever I have questions they have
been answered and all the answers have been straightforward and
informative. The classes that I have attended are always educational, and
the participants have been greatly enlightened. I especially enjoyed the
classes given by Penny Goforth. She treats all of us with a good sense of
humor and her subject is always one that can be of help if we use it. "The Organizer II Inc." is
becoming better equipped to seek grants because of the caring and help offered
by this team.

TURNING THE HEARTS CENTER
Grant Writing Specialists has helped many nonprofit
organizations throughout San Diego County develop and grow their organizational
capacity. Starting out as a new
nonprofit organization, Grant Writing Specialists was fundamental to getting
Turning the Hearts Center started in providing quality services needed in our
community. Grant Writing
Specialists works hard to refine its services to faith-based and
community-based organizations, and is proactive in forming community alliances
and partnerships that bring organizations together to build capacity and better
serve those who need it most.
DR. EMMA MOORE-KOCHLACS
SAN DIEGO DISTRICT OF THE UNITED
METHODIST CHURCH
Grant Writing Specialists has the experience, track
record and heart to provide the technical assistance and training needed by
small community and faith based organizations. We have consistently been impressed by Grant Writing
Specialists´ commitment to the community, task orientations, and quality of
work. Over the past five years
Grant Writing Specialists has helped us by providing training in board
development, budget assistance, funder research and program evaluation. Your assistance at First United
Methodist Church and La Jolla United Methodist Church has been of great value.
DR. JACK ROBERTSON
THE GOOD SAMARITAN HANDYMEN
Grant Writing Specialists´ knowledge of all facets of
nonprofit operations is obvious...our nonprofit has learned and benefited a great
deal from their help in just a few meetings. They know how to "cut to the quick". Keep up the good work!
CONNIE SAINDON
I have been attending the free workshops the Grant
Writing Specialists offers for over a year. I can´t say loudly enough how much I appreciate the plain
English information presented in a down-to-earth and humorous way. I would never have predicted I would
receive so much information in this very confusing area. The information is complete enough that
it can be used on its own, or by working with one of the team of professionals
that make up this group. Another good reason to attend is to meet others. It is an honor to meet other great
individuals who give of their hearts for their causes. By hearing what we are all doing in the
community, we can also look at ways we can do things together.
Thomas M. Pamilla
Palo Alto Senior Housing Porject
"The Demystification of Grantwriting"
series, provided free to nonprofit organizations all over San Diego County, had
been of great value to us in the past three years. Thanks largely to the
comprehensive in-depth training the team at Grant Writing Specialists offers in
various aspects of grantseeking, and of maintaining relations with grant
funders, one novice grantwriter on our staff has become knowledgeable,
confident, and productive in this role.
